LOCATION
Sea Breeze and Driftwood Studio sit in an elevated and world-class position on Rospletha Cliff directly between Porthcurno and Porth Chapel beaches, which have both been described by the Good Beach Guide as "paradise". Perhaps the more famous of the two beaches is Porthcurno which lies in a sheltered south east facing valley within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with gorgeous fine soft white sand and high cliffs on both sides providing shelter. At the lowest tides you can walk all the way around to Pednvounder beach and to the Logan Rock.

Porthcurno beach has always been popular with families and is internationally renowned for the Minack Theatre which was built in the 1920’s by theatrical visionary Rowena Cade and her gardener. Also of note is Logan Rock which is famous for its 80 tonne granite rocking stone not forgetting the Porthcurno Telegraph Museum which paints the picture of Cornwall’s role in the pioneering days of global communications.

Porthcurno itself has its own pub and a popular beach café and shop whilst the village of St Buryan, some three miles away, has two excellent village shops, a primary school and an historic parish church.

There are also other villages nearby with fantastic amenities - Treen has the Logan Rock Inn and a thriving and friendly campsite through the summer months.

Sennen Cove has the Old Success pub and fantastic fish and chip offerings with which you can watch the sunset over Cape Cornwall and there are also galleries and shops, Ben Tunnicliffe's restaurant and a fantastic Farmers Market at the top of the cliff each week. Great surfing can be found at Sennen and Gwenver, with both Sennen Surfing Centre and Smart Surf School offering world-class tuition.

St Just is also nearby which has great cafes and pubs.

Penzance, the largest town in west Cornwall, has an excellent range of shops, supermarkets, banks, restaurants a cinema and many other facilities. It is also an active port and is on the main Penzance to Paddington line.

Newlyn has a booming fish market as well as a cinema and the world-famous Jelberts ice-cream shop.

St Ives offers a plethora of surfing beaches and the Tate St Ives.

Mounts Bay is popular with sailors, stand-up paddleboarders, kitesurfers and windsurfers alike. Ocean High can teach you all of these skills and more.

Local golf courses include the West Cornwall at Lelant and Cape Cornwall near St Just.

The rugged coastline of west Cornwall is renowned for its excellent walking and birdwatching and there are many delightful sandy coves in the vicinity.

SEA BREEZE REVIEWS

"5* WOW what a stunning place to stay! We booked the house for my brother's 40th birthday celebrations, and we were a multi generational group with several children. The house was more beautiful than we were expecting, and the open plan living area was just perfect. The design is wonderful, and there were so many games and books we had plenty to do. We all enjoyed using the gorgeous kitchen, and the view of the sea is breathtaking. The welcome baskets with treats and toys for the kids, and even for the dog, was so thoughtful and generous. The beach is a short walk away and we had lots of fun swimming and paddle boarding, and the Minack theatre is just next door. We will definitely be back! Thank you to our hosts" - Anna

"5* Wow! We just stayed for a family gathering. What a brilliant stay. The house is even more gorgeous than the photos suggest and the area suited the needs of our multigenerational group - everything from walking and surfing to museums and beach lazing very close to the house." -  Samantha

"5* We’ve just had a fabulous stay at Sea Breeze. It’s an absolutely stunning house in a unique position. We were a group of 5 couples wanting to see The Minack Theatre and explore the surrounding area and it was perfect. Huge kitchen, dining/lounge area that worked so well and each couple had a lovely bedroom with associated bathroom, it really was the most perfect stay. Brilliantly equipped for a large group. I would recommend it to anyone." - Jacquie

"Do not hesitate! This place is FANTASTIC! The home has everything a family would need, full kitchen. WIFI is very fast! Plenty of space to spread out and relax. The views are truly unforgettable! The home has modern technology all over & very clear instructions on how to use all the tech. The host Jessica is extremely easy to communicate with & was available if we had any questions. Top notch host! Top notch home! Top notch views!" - Jeremy

"I hesitate to write a review, as keeping it a secret is tempting. The location is superb. We spent 3-4 days exploring Cornwall coast and the stretch of trail between Porthcurno and Portechapel Beach is among the most beautiful. Seeing the play at Minack theatre, a 2 min walk from the house was a highlight. The house had everything we needed to rlelax and to eat home-cooked meals." - Jimmy

"This house is fantastic. As far as places in Porthcurno, we have never stayed anywhere as nice and we have been coming here for years. The views are stunning and when it’s rainy and cold, the place is very cosy and warm. The coastal path starts just outside the doorstep and is one of the finest stretches of the Cornish coast. Jessica was a great host and very responsive to any questions we had. We will certainly be staying here again and would recommend it to anybody else." - Tom

"Such an amazing location, perfectly placed for stunning beaches, Lands End, Penzance & St. Ives. Lots of walks with breath taking views. Porthcurno beach & the Minack Theatre a mere stone’s throw away. Felt so lucky to be able to spend time at Sea Breeze with it’s uninterrupted sea views. Such a fresh, light & spacious space yet somehow also comfortable, warm & cosy - a lovely place to return to after a day out - though would have been equally happy spending all day there gazing at the sea! Well equipped, daffodils & cream tea on the table when we arrived & even the dog was provided with a towel! Jess is a lovely host, approachable, responsive & welcoming. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed - & in my husband’s words - with a mellow feeling inside...!" - Ollie

"We had a wonderful stay at Sea Breeze. There was plenty of space for the whole family, the kitchen was beautifully decorated and well stocked with utensils (even the knives were sharp which was a rare treat). The view over the sea from the deck and windows of the house was wonderful and as we were there in winter we pretty much had the beaches to ourselves." - Jennifer

"Gorgeous home by the sea, near the loveliest beaches in England with views to die for." - Ruth

"Lovely property in fantastic location - Fantastic family holiday, great weather, great location with lovely views, amazing beaches within walking distance. Great café in the village." - David

"We spent 5 wonderful days in this large and exceptionally beautiful house. A dog friendly area and very nice landlord." - Alexander

"What a delightful place to stay. Sea Breeze was just wonderful. Jessica was a great host, personally making sure everything was in order and checking that we were settled into the property. The house was situated down a very quiet road with incredible sea views. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, in particular high quality bed linen, duvets and pillows. I could not recommend this property more highly." - Edward

"My family and I loved the Sea Breeze home. The check-in was uncomplicated and the host made sure to provide us with all the instructions we could possibly need. The house itself was beautiful, we were simply stunned by how lovely it was. The living room was incredibly comfortable with a wonderful sea view and the kitchen was well equipped. Everything seemed to have been thought through, starting with a file containing recommendations for guests as to where to eat, etc. One could reach the Carribbean like blue beach within a five minute walk, the same goes for the famous Minack Theatre. We visited the latter to watch a play by Chekhov. All in all I cannot stress enough the beautiful stay we've had. Without doubt, this was one of the loveliest places/regions I've ever seen and my whole family wants to return to Sea Breeze already." - Stephanie

DRIFTWOOD REVIEWS

"Driftwood is so comfortable with a fabulous view. The bed is really like being at home - not one of those hard thin mattresses as some provide. And big fluffy white towels and good quality duvet and pillows. Hard to get out walking and biking when we were so comfy but also great to come back to." - Von

"Idyllic hideaway above the cliffs, surrounded by magnificent nature and dream beaches. The small house has so much charm and has everything you need. Loving details can be discovered in all corners Maritime, authentic Driftwood Design. The kitchen is lavishly equipped. The bed is very comfortable" - Martin

"Quaint little cottage in a sensational location - Driftwood was the perfect choice for us. The location couldn't be more stunning: there is access to the coastal path literally from the back garden, with PorthCurno and Porth Chapel Beach easily accessible. Penzance as the nearest bigger town is a mere 20 minutes away. The studio is ideal for a couple, with a well-equipped kitchen, space to lounge upstairs and a beautiful bedroom. It‘s the quirky yet airy interior and the personal touches that make this property very special, calming and relaxing. Contact with the owner was prompt and very forthcoming. Would recommend and book again in a heartbeat." - Britta

"Beautiful little spot overlooking the sea. Nice views from the kitchen and lounge. Perfect for a couple . Lovely walks all around." - Karl

"We stayed for 5 days in Driftwood and we had a beautiful holiday. Driftwood is a very cosy and gorgeous studio and perfect for the two of us. It has a well equipped kitchen and a nice bedroom with a good bed and a small tidy bathroom. It's quiet and the ocean view from the kitchen window is absolutely stunning. We had breakfast in the sun, looking out over the sea. The beaches at Porthcurno are probably the nicest in Cornwall, never seen anything like it. And its just a 10 min walk from the house, passing by the famous Minack Theatre. A car is nice to have in this remote area, but we managed well on foot and by bus. I can recommend the walk along the coastal path to Treen to visit Logan Rock Inn and have a delicious fish pie there, together with a Cornish apple cider or ale ;). Jessica has been of great help and she always reacted promptly, kind and flexible. There is a user guide in the house which explains everything so we had no trouble with anything. All in all, very recommended!" - Marloes

"This little cottage has everything you need for a great getaway. We had three days there and found it ideal for exploring the local area. If you are going to the Minack Theatre it’s literally a stones throw away." - Lesley

"Wonderful couple of days in this well equipped cottage. Take this accommodation if you want to be the closest to the sea." - Damien

"The views were amazing and the place was located just off the costal path so was great for walking. I would recommend this place and would love to go back!" - Laura

"Driftwood is the perfect little place in an unbelievable location. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay . Amazing views and yards from beach, coast path and Minack. And great hosts." - Steve

"A beautiful and well equipped place with lots of nice features and a fabulous location with views from the window and back garden over the ocean and close to some of my favorite Cornish cliffs. Very recommended!" - Paul

"This house was the perfect getaway before the busy season of Christmas. It was great to have Porthcurno beach at your doorstep and Land's End just a couple of miles away! The house was really cosy with great sea views." - Joanna
